Anya Taylor-Joy

Anya Taylor Joy, a half-Spanish and half-English woman was born April 16, 1997 in Miami Florida. Her parents are Dennis Alan Taylor, a ex-bank executive, and Jennifer Marina Joy, a psychologist, she is half-Spanish and an English-speaking woman. Her father was an Argentine who had Scottish and English roots. Her mother has Spanish and English ancestry. Taylor-Joy is one of the five children, four are the result of a previous marriage to Taylor's father. She lived with her family living in Buenos Aires from the time she was six years old until the time they moved to Victoria, London. According to Taylor-Joy, the relocation was difficult and she decided to not learn English in hopes of moving back to Argentina. Her school had to change between Northlands towards Hill House. After that, she attended Queen's Gate School to study ballet and to perform in school's shows. She left at the age of 16 to go to school in order to explore acting as a profession. Taylor-Joy was a child actress and was sure she would eventually become one. It was her wish to be a model when Sarah Doukas, the founder of Storm Management offered her a modelling job.
