Harry Edward Styles is an English singer, songwriter and musician. He was part of One Direction. Born at Holmes Chapel (Cheshire), England on February 1, 1994, Harry Styles is the son Des Styles, and Anne Cox. Harry Styles attended the Holmes Chapel Comprehensive School, which is where along with three fellow students, he founded his own group of musicians, called White Eskimo. The band won in the Battle of Bands 2009 thanks to their outstanding performance. Although he's always fascinated by music, despite his enthusiasm, he was considering becoming a lawyer and the profession of physiotherapist. He worked at a local bakery part-time to help their family in financial matters. In the year 2010, Harry Styles presented audition for The X Factor where he did the track Is not She Lovely by Stevie Wonder and was selected. The group was then forced by this. In the course of auditioning on The X Factor the jury Nicole Scherzinger suggested that Harry Styles be part of the group that was to be dubbed One Direction along with Liam Payne Zayn Malik Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson. Simon Cowell sponsored the young group in 2010. The group were singing songs like My Life Would Suck Without You by Kelly Clarkson and Total Eclipse of the Heart by Bonnie Tyler so the group could be considered one of the contestants to be the winner. The group was placed third behind Rebecca Ferguson and winner Matt Cardle. Harry Styles, his group and Cowell did not win the competition. However, Cowell offered Harry Styles a 2 million pound contract to sign up with Syco.
