Emily Bett Rickards is a Canadian born actor. She was best known in the United States for her performance as Felicity Smoak in The CW series Arrow. Rickards, who was raised in British Columbia, is Canadian. Her career began at a young age, she was introduced to dance and theatre hoping to eventually introducing herself to more serious acting. Her high school graduation was before her schedule and began studying at Vancouver Film School where she was awarded the Acting Essentials Certificate. She attended an audition at an open call following the completion of her course. It resulted in her being accepted with an agent. Alida Vocal Studio is located in Vancouver. Her rapport with Stephen Amell, positive feedback from the fans, and her humorous remarks earned her being initially signed as a single-episode guest star. Due to the overwhelmingly positive response of her fans they were then invited as a regular character for Season 2.
